Phnom Penh

Today Mum & I visited Janne at Tabitha. Tabitha is an NGO which has supported 60,000 families in Cambodia, which is more than 500,000 (half a million) people. It helps Cambodians set up their own businesses so they can be independent, it has give wells to villages so women and children don't have to walk for hours every day to get water and it has built houses for families so they have homes. Janne is amazing. She adopted a baby who was HIV positive and blind, and now her daughter who is called Miriam, is in Year 8 and is a brilliant student and sportswoman.

We also walked around Phnom Penh like we usually do but this time we took photos of scenes we see all the time.

Here are some:

Coconuts for sale - love coconut juice!

power lines are like this through Cambodia (and also Vietnam)

This is a shot I took from inside the apartment. This is where people live.

A construction site just outside of the bedroom. No wonder I  wake so early!

People live in these.

These two cheeky boys were playing with us by sticking out their tongues  and waving.

The monks were walking back to their Wat.

We also stopped for lunch - mocha frappe and loc lac!
